The Balazs Team - Knock Yourself Out!
Boxing Drill #40: The Double-End Striking Bag
No need for a sparring partner when you have a double-end striking bag.
Available in various sizes with air-filled bladder and elastic cord system. Challenges eye-hand coordination with unpredictable rebound action.
Training Steps:
- Assume boxing stance - hands up, weight on balls of feet
- Strike with left jab and slip right
- Focus on technique before power
Sample Combinations:
Left Jab: Jab → Slip right → Reset
Double Jabs: Jab-Jab → Slip right
One-Two Combo: Jab-Cross → Slip left
See Boxing Drill #14 for terminology reference
